What's Special in Zoom Option?

excel_usage, Excel Tips

Hi there,

Zoom option, in Excel has an hidden skill but shy up to show it to others. Some how we found and disclosed here. ;)

We have a tables of data:

Creating Name Ranges for this Selection

When we zoom out this data or Excel sheet to 39% then the magic appears. Try and see before you proceed the post.

Yes, you got me right! Abra kathabra..... ;)

Here is what you see there. Right? I know black magic that's why I know. :)

When Zoom reduced to 39% how does name range reflects?

There is nothing black magic as such. You are seeing Range1, Range2, Range3 because these data doesn't given a "Named Range". Here you go how to create a Named Range Check this link. Once you have created, repeat the zoom out so that you can see the names assigned to that range. How awesome it is right!

Excel sheet Zoomed-Out to 39%

If you are finding difficulty to exactly zoom-out to 39%, then you can double click on 39% so that you will get a window like below. Then you are easy to input the value you are comfortable with:

Note: It will not work with Tables, Pivot features.

That's it from end. See you in the next post.
