This is something amazing happening in Excel. Do you know auto-filter option is labelled incorrectly in Excel. It is actually functioning like "filter by selection". As I remember, If some one find's flaws in FACEBOOK they will reward us, if we inform them. Similarly, if MICROSOFT team is giving then it should come to one of our Excel user. Paste By Values Has a New Look, Try this!

Can any body tell me how many ways you can copy paste the formulas to values using Excel? Post your answers in the comments section below. 

I know 3 methods. Once you copy the data:

1. Use ALT + E + S + V

2. Use Paste Special Window to paste by values

and the third one is some thing new to all. For that matter, it is even new to me till last month. Do you want to know what it is?

Have you come across this situation in your work. This is really amazing trick to extract the active sheet name to a cell. The formula goes like this.

 

=mid(cell("filename",a1),find("]",cell("filename",a1))+1,111)


dynamic formula, what if cell A1 deletes either by Row or Column:


=mid(cell("filename"),find("]",cell("filename")+1,111)
