Search Box in Excel 2010 & 2013

Fill Down & Fill Up (quick tip)

Today when I am working on some data I found one trick. So, I am eager to share this with you. Why late here we go:

 

QUICK TIP:

We have data in a column (cell A2) say "January" and this cell has to be dragged down for few cells. Say cell A2 is "January" and it should be applied to till A10.

What we will do?

Very simple!

We will select the cells from A2:A10 and use CTRL + D to fill down, right? 

Yes, this is well known to everyone.

SHIFT + TAB (Do you know this "Tip")

Today I have learnt a new trick using SHIFT + TAB. Before telling what it is let me first tell you the scenario when to use this.

There are four columns or five columns for that matter. Those are named as A B C D and E. Say, I want to enter the data in a row wise to fill all the columns.

When I was working in an MNC company between 2005-2010 we had only sunday as weekly off. We were praying to get two days as weekly off i.e., saturday and sunday but by the time the company offered I was in a different company. Ok, that was my past and why I am recalling because most of the employees who is working for 6 days a week will think this way but for those who has two days off will be very happy.

 

However, how are you planning for your weekend(s). I hope you will blast this weekend(s) by boozing, day outs, night outs, picnics, family trips, right? A very happy weekend to you all. Keeping that apart, now let's move on to our topic sorry tip, "Create Multiple Lines in a Cell", of the day.
