SUGGESTION TO A MICROSOFT EXCEL STAFF!
charts, CF, ApplicationsHi there,
Folks, I have an idea to suggest Microsoft about the implementation of an additional feature to Conditional Formatting. If you accept this idea, please leave your comment in the comments section in the bottom of this post. The number of comments posted here will give them the strength to implement our idea to the next version of Excel or might be in the next update of the latest version Excel 2013.
Here is a letter to Microsoft Team:
...
Dear Microsoft Excel Team,
After working on Excel for 8+ years (as MIS reporting, PMO reporting and Project Analyst) in the reporting field, I have an idea to suggest you to think about from ''exceltoxl''. This idea is more useful for charting lovers in this world. Being a chart lover I should definitely like if you implement it in the coming versions of Excel or in the next update of existing versions.
Please do implement CUSTOM ICONS or CUSTOM ICON SETS option in the "conditional formatting'' feature listed in "Styles'' group.
This will help the charting lovers to customize their own icons to present/display in charts. Few of them we used in this space are:
Pie Chart & Network Chart to show % Progress
Excel Animation using In-Cell Chart
Rest of the Charts; using Excel
These are few of the charts implemented using Icon Sets in Conditional Formatting. To implement better charting icons, request you once again to introduce CUSTOM ICON SETS in the above window as shown.
Thank you for your time and we hope this feature will be reflected soon in Microsoft Excel.
Now, it's your time. Please do share your ideas & suggestions using below comments section.
