CHALLENGE FOR TODAY:
To group data for words or for example say we have an existing sales team and planning to hire a new sales team. After a month if we need to compare the values between old sales team and new sales team for which the data to be segregated, here is a challenge to group the particular REP's for old sales team and the one who are in new sales team. How do we group the teams in the pivot table is our challenge for today?
GROUP DATA BY WORDS:
- Select the rep names in the pivot table who falls in old sales team and go to ANALYZE in PIVOTTABLE TOOLS.
- Click on Group Selection in GROUP
- Now, the names are grouped and by default the group is named as Group1
- Select the Group1 and GoTo Formula Bar and change it to "Old Sales Team"
- Similarly select the names for Group 2 and change the Group name to "New Sales Team"
Now, we can now see the grouping for rep's.
That's it! Magic works!!!
