Convert Column Names into Numbers
excel_usageHi there,
Recently, I have received an excel workbook from my student and it was looking like this (empty sheet is posted here).
Did you find the difference from normal worksheet? No!, see the column names are showing in numbers and row names are also showing as numbers, right?

Yes, even I was shocked when I see this for the first time. After a short shock, woke up after 10 - 15 mts of time to crack that worksheet. I also thought how is this possible in Excel. I think, even you would have shocked by now, right?, That is when I cracked this excel sheet. Do you know how to crack this column names with numbers rather than alphabets. If you know, stop this post here and post it in the comments section. Rest can proceed with me:
...
GoTo Office Button (2007 version) or File (2003, 2010, 2013) -->Options -->Formulas -->Working with Formulas --> un-check R1C1 reference style. This will convert from numbers to alphabets.
You will see this option unchecked, that is why you see alphabets as column names. You can proceed to un-check to see numbers as column names.
That's it. Magic works!!!
DID YOU USE R1C1?
