ADVANTAGES OF USING POWERPIVOT:
...
1. Can connect more than one DataTable

3. Need not refresh the pivot table as it is highly integrated with the real time data.
4. Can group the table attributes with one name and can display in the pivot table (eg: Year, Month and Date are three columns where we can group it to see only Year and under Year we can see Month and Under Month we can see Date).
5. DAX (Data Analysis eXpressions) is the new functionality added as a Formula Language and now it is using as a Query Language in Tabular. Much enhancements and usages in the near future.
6. MEASURES has been added here which is better than CALCULATED FIELD
7. DAX is faster than FUNCTIONS because it uses xVelocity Engine.
8. Can Hide fields (columns) from the end user or Client
9. Can upload more data (not limited to 1, 048, 576) than Excel Worksheet. Data uploaded is based on the system space.
