Show Invisible Cell Content ( its Advantages)
Excel TipsHi there,
In this post, we will discuss about how to make the cell content invisible from other users. The cell content is visible only through the formula bar when the user activate the cell. There are three alternatives to find them.
1. CHANGING FONT COLOUR:
Once the invisible cell is located, change the font to dark colours so that the cell content will be visible.
2. HIDE ROW/COLUMN:
This is one of the poor advice, however, we can also hide the cell content by hiding the respective cell column or cell row.
...
3. CTRL + 1 (Format Cells):
This logic might be new to you or atleast new to many users so keep an eye. Goto "Custom" Category, default type will be "general", select the "general" and type three semicolons, (;;;). This will hide the cell content and makes it invisible from other users, same is explained here,.
ADVANTAGES:
There are few advantages by hiding the cell content, Few of them are :
1. We can hide important information like passwords or login id's from Pilferages
2. Data/logic/formula theft can be avoided when sharing the excel with others.
3. To avoid data loss in terms of changing/repairing the formulas or functions from other newly joined co-employee.
That's it from end. I hope this post will help you remain passionate on excel.
